4. India’s Resolution for ‘The Initiative for Central Asian Flyway’ unanimously adopted by the 14th meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP) to CMS in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Central Asian Flyway (CAF) covers a large area of Eurasia between the Arctic and Indian Oceans. This flyway comprises several important migration routes of birds. Including India, there are 30 countries under the Central Asian Flyway.

5. India has cemented its position as the third-largest digitalized nation in the world, trailing only behind the technological powerhouses of the United States of America (USA) and China.

1. The 🇺🇸USA has signalled it would veto an Algerian push at the UN Security Council (UNSC) to demand an urgent ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. The vote at the 15-member body is scheduled to take place on Tuesday (Feb 20) and the draft of the proposal was put forward two weeks ago.

2. 🇺🇸🚀NASA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) are considering launching the LignoSat probe – the world’s first wooden satellite into space, in an attempt to make spaceflight operations sustainable.

The tiny satellite has been built by the scientists at Kyoto University in collaboration with Sumitomo Forestry, a logging company. Scientists believe that the satellite’s biodegradable nature may help preserve the Earth’s environment.

4 Taliban-appointed – Deputy Foreign Minister Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, in his public address at a community gathering in Afghanistan’s Logar, has accused Pakistan of forcefully expelling Afghan migrants in an extremely oppressive manner and insisting they return to their homeland. He warned that such atrocities could result in events similar to the 1971 separation of Bangladesh from Pakistan.
