Bollywood star Aamir Khan and his former wife Reena’s residences light up ahead of their daughter Ira Khan’s wedding with fiancé Nupur Shikhare.

In the last few days the wedding prep at both the homes of the Khan family and the Shikhare family has been going on in full swing. There are fairy light and fresh flowers everywhere that has been caught by the paps as the pre-wedding festivities have already begun.
The 27-year-old Ira Khan has been sharing much about her upcoming wedding prep on her Instagram account which includes glimpses from the Maharashtrian Kelvan ceremony. She is seen happily gorging on a Maharashtrian meal that has been served on a banana leaf. Along with her are Nupur, Kiran Rao, Azad Rao Khan and Mithila Palkar.
On Wednesday, January 3, the couple is reportedly going to have a Maharashtrian style wedding. The innovative wedding invite has customised puzzles and a head massager.
In an interview with News18, doting dad Aamir Khan had reportedly said, “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai. (I’m extremely emotional, and I’m going to cry a lot at Ira’s wedding, that’s for sure). Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din (take care of Aamir that day)’ because I am very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears.”
