Nitish govt to hike Bihar caste quota to 75% from 60% based on caste survey
Nitish Kumar govt announced decision in Bihar assembly as his government also released socioeconomic data collected as part of caste survey. Survey released 2 October.

The RBI Governor, Shaktikanta Das, introduced the I-CRR, mandating all scheduled banks to maintain a 10% reserve ratio on the increase in their net demand and time liabilities (NDTL) between May 19, 2023, and July 28, 2023.

The objective was to absorb surplus liquidity stemming from various factors, including the reintroduction of ₹2,000 notes into the banking system.

1. A Delhi court on November 7 granted divorce to Bollywood singer and rapper Honey Singh and his wife, Shalini Talwar.

2. Actor Kamal Hassan, Mani Ratnam collaborate for action film titled ‘Thug Life’. This film will reunite Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam 36 years after their 1987 cult epic film Nayakan.

Besides Thug Life, Kamal Haasan will also star in Indian 2, the sequel to Shankar’s 1996 blockbuster action film. He will reprise the role of Senapathy in the sequel. Indian 2 is scheduled to be released in theatres on April 12, 2024.
