‘No one will preach us’: Israel says no water, electricity for Gaza until hostages are freed
Hamas militants have been holding around 150 people, including children, women and young girls, hostages since Saturday when they launched a brutal ground assault in Israel.

“Humanitarian aid to Gaza? No electrical switch will be turned on, no water hydrant will be opened and no fuel truck will enter until the Israeli abductees are returned home. Humanitarian for humanitarian. And no one will preach us morals,” he said in a tweet in Hebrew.

Earlier this week, Israel announced a complete siege of the Gaza Strip, cutting off water, food, fuel and electricity supply to the blockaded region on the southern border of Israel.

1. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar chaired a meeting to review preparations for “Operation Ajay”. The operation is meant to bring back Indian citizens stuck in Israel. External Affairs Ministry said a charter flight will reach Israel’s Tel Aviv.

The first chartered flight is expected to bring back around 230 people from Israel on Friday under Operation Ajay.

1. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv amid the ongoing conflict between Israel with Hamas.

2. The ongoing Israel-Gaza war has claimed nearly 2200 lives. The death toll in Israel alone has reached 1,200 including 155 soldiers, while more than 1,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the terrorists launched a surprise attack.
