Nipah Virus In Kerala: High Alert In Kannur, Wayanad And Malappuram Districts, Containment Zones In Kozhikode
Nipah virus infection is basically a zoonotic disease and can be transmitted from animals to humans, besides, it can spread through contaminated food or through contact. To curb the rising cases of Nipah virus in Kerala, all the educational institutions have been ordered to stay close on Thursday and Friday.

1. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) have partnered to develop an indigenous communication-based train control (i-CBTC) system. The collaboration aims to drive innovation, reduce costs, and promote self-reliance in the field of train control signalling systems.

2. RITES Limited has been honoured with the ‘Safety Innovation Award 2023’, under the ‘Construction’ category, for implementing ‘Innovative Safety Management Systems’ in its operations. The award was presented to RITES’ officials during the inaugural function of the 20th Safety Convention organized by The Institution of Engineers (India).

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported that global debt as a share of economic output decreased for the second consecutive year in 2022, but this trend may be ending as the post-COVID growth surge wanes. According to the IMF’s Global Debt Database update, the world’s total debt-to-GDP ratio fell to 238% in 2022, down from 248% in 2021 and 258% in 2020.

The subsequent 14 aircraft will follow, arriving at a rate of one per month until August 2025. Production of aircraft components has already commenced at the Main Constituent Assembly (MCA) facility in Hyderabad, Telangana.

5. The IGs Level Border Co-ordination Conference between Border Security Force (BSF), India and Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB), concluded on Thursday, in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
During the four days long conference, the BSF delegation was led by Pradip Kumar, Inspector General of BSF Meghalaya Frontier while the BGB delegation was headed by Brigadier General Md Shazedur Rahman Commander of Chittagong Region.
