1. Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala will lead a high-level delegation to Norway from 21st August 2023.

2. 🇩🇪German Embassy in India on Sunday hailed India’s digital infrastructure, calling it one of the country’s success stories. The high praise for India’s digital payment model came after Germany’s Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, Volker Wissing, used UPI to make a payment in India and was “very fascinated” by the experience.

3. India’s overall imports from Russia during the first four months of 2023 witnessed a 100% rise compared to the corresponding period last fiscal, the statistics from India’s Commerce Ministry showed.

While the total value of India’s imports from Russia between April-July this year stood at $20.45 billion, which was worth $10.42 billion during the same period last year.

1. 🇷🇺 Russia’s moon mission failed after its Luna-25 spacecraft spun out of control and smashed into the moon. The launch took place on 10 August 2023 from Vostochny Cosmodrome on a Soyuz-2 rocket with a Fregat upper stage. On 16 August, the probe entered lunar orbit, with a scheduled landing date of 21 August.

Now all eyes will be on India, whose Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft is scheduled to make its landing on the Moon’s south pole on Wednesday (August 23).

2. In a tragic incident, an explosive device detonated in the Gulmir Kot area of North Waziristan, Pakistan, resulting in the killing of 11 individuals.

7. A delegation from West Africa’s regional bloc ECOWAS met ousted Niger President Mohamed Bazoum and also held talks with junta leader General Abdourahmane Tchiani.The delegation reached the capital Niamey on Saturday.

8. United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the burning of a number of churches and dozens of homes by extremists in Pakistan.
