China releases TV documentary showcasing army’s ability to attack Taiwan. China has released a new documentary about the army’s preparation to attack Taiwan and showcasing soldiers pledging to give up their lives if needed as Beijing continues to ramp up its rhetoric against the self-ruled island.

1. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval underscored India’s consistent engagement with both Russia and Ukraine at the highest levels to resolve the crisis and to promote global peace and stability.

1. Cambodia’s electoral body has announced the final results of last month’s election, confirming a landslide victory for the ruling party of long-serving PM Hun Sen and a mandate for the next five years.

2. Japan’s PM Fumio Kishida, observed a moment of silence during a ceremony marking the 78th anniversary of the world’s first atomic bombing at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima, Japan yesterday.

3. Bangladesh, eight people were killed, and four missing as a picnic boat capsized in a tributary of the Padma River in Munshiganj District. The accident occurred when a trawler carrying 46 people of a picnic party collided with a bulkhead at about 8 pm on 5 Aug.

4. At least 24 people were killed in a bus crash that took place on Sunday in Morocco’s Azilal province, marking one of the deadliest such accidents in recent years in the country.

5. Death toll rose to 25 after the Hazara Express overturned in Pakistan’s Nawabshah on Sunday leaving several people injured.
