UK-based musician K Zie looks up to Craig David, Michael Jackson, Jay Sean, Neyo, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake for inspiration and the 25-year-old musician started taking his love for music and his talent seriously when a song that he wrote was selected by Justin Timberlake for his album, Man Of The Woods.

K Zie has fans across 50 countries. He is hugely interested in Bollywood music, perhaps because he has Indian roots. “While growing up, I would always listen to a lot of Bollywood songs, and they inspired me. I would listen to artistes such as Sonu Nigam, Sukhbir and Bombay Vikings. When I started out as a musician, I first got into beatboxing and then trained as a singer and songwriter,” he says.

The musician has worked with Bollywood music producer Harry Anand on a few songs. Thr musician says Bollywood is a great place for anyone who has talent and zeal. “Over the years, Bollywood has embraced so many artistes who don’t have a godfather in the industry. In fact, so many international musicians like Akon, Pitbull and Arash have also been part of Bollywood films. I believe it’s a fair place for anyone who’s talented and is ready to work hard to make it into Bollywood. For me, the focus has always been on making myself the best and then opportunities follow.”

Meanwhile, K Zie’s first worldwide release was This Could Be Love in 2018. He also worked with leading music producer in the UK, Alan Sampson (famous for his hit records with Jay Sean and Zayn Malik), for the single Between Our Bodies.
