Chandrayaan-3 Spacecraft Integrated With Launch Vehicle, Announces ISRO.
The space agency’s chairman S Somnath last month told ANI that they are planning for the launch day of its third lunar mission between July 13 and July 19.
“We will be able to do a soft landing on the moon. The launch day is July 13, it can go upto July 19,” Somnath had said.
Chandrayaan-2, India’s second mission to the moon, was launched on July 22, 2019, from Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota.

6. court in Jharkhand’s Seraikela Kharsawan on Wednesday handed all 10 convicts in the Tabrez Ansari lynching case a 10-year jail term. Earlier, two accused were acquitted by the court due to lack of evidence, while one died during the trial. Ansari, who worked as a labourer, was beaten up with rods over alleged theft and later lynched in 2019.

1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday said it has cancelled the banking licenses of two co-operative banks in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
2. The Central Bank of Bangladesh raised the US Dollar selling rate at interbank level by Taka 2.85 from its foreign exchange reserves. Earlier it was Taka 106 per USD and now the new rate is Taka 108.85.
3. The Income Tax Department has cancelled the tax exemption status of the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), a leading public policy research institution. The status was revoked on June 30.
4. The Union Cabinet has approved the draft of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Bill 2023. This paves way for tabling it in the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament. The bill proposes to levy a penalty of up to ₹250 crore on entities for every instance of violation of norms in the bill.
5. Tomatoes are costlier than petrol in many Indian cities and have touched ₹160/kg in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam (petrol is at ₹110.48/litre). In Bengal’s Siliguri, 1 kg of tomatoes is being sold for ₹155 and for ₹148 in Kolkata (petrol at ₹106). In Delhi, tomato prices are around ₹130 (petrol at ₹96.72), and around ₹150 in UP’s Moradabad (petrol at ₹97.3).
