1. In MAHARASHTRA, 25 people died and eight others were injured after a bus carrying 33 passengers caught fire on the Samruddhi Mahamarg expressway in Buldhana district yesterday.

2. In BIHAR, agitating candidates of the teacher recruitment examination and police clashed Patna on 1st July 2023, Saturday. Several candidates were injured during the lathi charge. The candidates were opposing the state government’s decision to allow candidates of other states in Bihar Teacher Recruitment Examination.

3. Supreme Court on Saturday granted interim protection to activist Teesta Setalvad, who was denied regular bail by Gujarat High Court in a case of alleged fabrication of evidence in relation to the 2002 Gujarat riots. Supreme Court stayed the High Court’s order, asking her to surrender immediately, by seven days. A Supreme Court bench heard the plea at special sitting.

4. 40 persons booked for offering namaz on road on Eid-ul-Adha in Kanpur, UP.

5. Ambala unit of Haryana Special Task Force in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Police on Saturday arrested four persons from Ambala for allegedly firing at Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekhar Aazad in Deoband.

1. Reserve Bank has imposed a penalty of Rs 65 lakh on city-based AP Mahesh Co-operative Urban Bank, for non-compliance with provisions of Cyber Security Framework for Primary (Urban) cooperative banks, Hyderabad Police said.

2. Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) Chairman Vivek Johri said the formation of the GST Appellate Tribunal is expected by the end of this fiscal year. However, he added that it could possibly spill over into early next financial year.
