1. Indonesia Open badminton: Satwik-Chirag enter semis beating top seeds, Prannoy topples World No. 4
In men’s singles quarter-final match, India’s HS Prannoy defeated Japan’s Kodai Naraoka 21-18, 21-16.
The Indian pair of Satviksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated Indonesian pair of Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Fajar Alfian shortlyby 21-13, 21-13 in Men’s doubles quarter-final.
India’s Kidambi Srikanth lost to Chinese shuttler Li Shifeng in the men’s singles quarter-final 14-21, 21-14, 12-21.
2. Bangladesh have set the highest target in their Test cricket history. Bangladesh set a 662-run target for Afghanistan to chase in their one-off Test in Mirpur. The previous highest target set by Bangladesh in a Test was 477 against Zimbabwe in July 2021. England hold the record for setting the highest-ever target (836 against West Indies in 1930).
3. Cyclist Gino Mader has died at the age of 26 after a crash at stage five of the Tour de Suisse, his team have announced. The Swiss rider was involved in a high-speed crash with American rider Magnus Sheffield.
