1. US President Joe Biden signed into law a bill to suspend the nation’s debt limit through 1 January 2025.
1. SpaceX on Monday launched a Falcon 9 rocket to deliver more than 3,100 kg of science supplies and provisions to the International Space Station (ISS). This is SpaceX’s 28th cargo mission to ISS for NASA. The Dragon spacecraft, atop the Falcon 9 rocket, will dock with the space station on Tuesday after completing almost an 18-hour journey.

2. Former US Vice President Mike Pence filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Monday, declaring his candidacy for the Republican Presidential nomination next year. The move pits the 63-year-old against former President Donald Trump, who he served in the White House from 2017-2021. Pence is expected to formally launch his campaign with a video and speech on Wednesday.

3. The 193 UN Member States, elected a veteran diplomat from Trinidad and Tobago, Dennis Francis as the President of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
