1. PM Modi on Wednesday emplaned for New Delhi after completing the final leg of his three-nation trip. He was on a visit to Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia.
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has raised with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese India’s concerns over incidents of attacks on temples and activities of pro-Khalistani elements in Australia.
3. The US Department of State Director, Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Affairs, Taylor Ruggles on Wednesday, welcomed India’s growing engagement with Papua New Guinea.
4. Regarding the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) negotiations between India and Australia, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on Wednesday said that they are planned in the month of June, and July respectively regarding the deadline set for CECA negotiations.
5. Indian Railways has handed over 20 broad gauge (BG) locomotives to Bangladesh. The virtual handing over ceremony, held at Rail Bhavan, was attended by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bangladesh’s Minister of Railway, Md Nurul Islam Sujan.
6. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on Wednesday said that Australia offers strong support for India’s permanent membership to UN Security Council.

1. Six security personnel were killed after more than a dozen terrorists stormed an oil and gas exploration site in the Hangu district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
2. Axiom Space, a private space habitat company, recently launched their latest mission, Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2), to the International Space Station (ISS). This mission aims to conduct experiments on human stem cell ageing, inflammation, and cancer in the unique microgravity environment of space.
3. Former Pakistan Army Chief Asif Nawaz Jangua’s granddaughter, Khadija Shah, has been arrested for being a “key instigator” in the attack on the Corps Commander House in Lahore following ex-PM Imran Khan’s arrest on May 9. 5. Sri Lanka Navy has retrieved 14 bodies from a Chinese fishing vessel that capsized in the central Indian Ocean on May 16. The vessel carried 39 individuals, including Chinese, Indonesian, and Philippine mariners.
6. Moldova’s President Maia Sandu has declared that her country will comply with the ruling of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and arrest Russian President Vladimir Putin should he set foot on Moldovan soil.
7. Legendary singer Tina Turner dies at age 83. The rock n’ roll icon was best known for hits like “The Best” and “What’s Love Got to Do With It.” Turner — who throughout her life received attention and praise for her gravelly voice, bold hairstyles, sense of fashion and energetic performances — rose to fame in the 1960s. She obtained international stardom with songs like “The Best,” “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero.” Turner would go on to write three bestselling memoirs, her final being “Happiness Becomes You.”
