1. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar rapped his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for raking up the issue of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and blaming it as the reason behind the fallout between New Delhi and Islamabad.

“Article 370 is history. Wake up and smell the coffee,” Jaishankar said while addressing the press after the conclusion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting in Goa.

2. *CENTRAL ASIAN FLYWAY (CAF):* The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme/ Convention on Migratory Species (UNEP/CMS) had organized a meeting of Range Countries to strengthen conservation efforts for migratory birds and their habitats in the Central Asian Flyway (CAF) from 2nd to 4th May, 2023 in New Delhi.

3. Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation (IADF) is set to host a grand community reception in honour of PM Modi ahead of the QUAD Leaders’ Summit slated to take place in Sydney in May 2023.

5. Ten Indian fishermen who were rescued from Maldivian waters have been safely brought to Visakhapatnam by Indian Coast Guard on Saturday.

6. Interacting with the Indian diaspora in London, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar said India is proud of its 32-million-strong worldwide diaspora and it must continue to counter baseless narratives about the country as its ambassadors.

7. PM Modi will visit France on 14th of July to attend this year’s Bastille Day Parade as Guest of Honour in Paris.

1. Branded terrorist and Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) head Paramjit Singh Panjwar aka Malik Sardar Singh was killed in Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan, by two unidentified shooters.

2. President of South Korea and the US President recently signed the Washington Declaration on the anniversary of 70 years of their bilateral relationship.

The declaration outlines the cooperation towards nuclear deterrence.
Purpose: Protect the Korean Peninsula from a nuclear attack.

3. King Charles-III was crowned, gun salutes were fired from 13 locations across the UK including Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast, and on deployed Royal Navy ships. The largest, a 62-round salute, happened from the Tower of London. A six-gun salute took place at Horse Guards Parade and 21 rounds were fired at the remaining locations.

PM Modi has congratulated King Charles III and Queen Camilla on their coronation.

4. Rishi Sunak on Saturday made history as the first Indian-origin British Prime Minister to perform a reading at the Coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey in London.

5. Gonpo Dhondhup, President of Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC), who is currently leading a month-long Tibet Matters March, called for international support for Tibet amid China’s repression and breaches of human rights.

6. Black Sea Grain Initiative: A top United Nations trade official will travel to Russia for the diplomatic push to ensure the revival of the Black Sea grain initiative.

It was set up to resume vital food and fertilizer exports from Ukraine to the rest of the world.
It was brokered between Russia and Ukraine by the United Nations and Turkey. The initiative allowed exports of grain, other foodstuffs, and fertilizer, including ammonia, to resume through a safe maritime humanitarian corridor from three key Ukrainian ports: Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Yuzhny/Pivdennyi, to the rest of the world.

7. Ukraine ‘shoots down’ hypersonic Russian missile with US air defence system. The Kinzhal, which means “dagger” in Russian, is one of six “next generation” weapons unveiled by President Vladimir Putin in 2018 when the Russian leader boasted that it cannot be shot down by any of the world’s air defence systems.

Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk said the Kh-47 Kinzhal had been shot down on Thursday night over the region outside Kyiv. The Air Force said it had been taken down by a U.S. Patriot air defence system.
