1. The United Kingdom and India on 26 April signed an agreement to collaborate on science and innovation.The agreement between the two nations was signed after the meeting between the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh and UK Science Minister George Freeman.
2. Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on 27 April received stranded Indians from Port Sudan at Jeddah under Operation Kaveri, an operation India launched to evacuate its citizens from battle-torn Sudan.A total of 135 passengers were onboard the Indian Air Force aircraft, IAF C-130J that reached Jeddah from Port Sudan.
3. OPERATION KAVERI: 246 more Indians from crisis-stricken Sudan arrived in Mumbai. IAF C17 which brought back. Around 3500 Indians & 1000 Persons of Indian Origins are estimated to be in conflicts-hit Sudan. Nearly 1100 Indian nationals have been evacuated till 28 April.
4. India and the United Kingdom have agreed to create India-UK NET zero innovation virtual centre.

1. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif secured a vote of confidence in the parliament on 27 April. Sharif received 180 votes reposing confidence in his leadership in the 342-member National Assembly.
2. Germany is in talks to limit the export of chemicals that are used to manufacture semiconductors to China in order to reduce its economic exposure to the country.
3. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol met with Tesla CEO Elon Musk in Washington to call for investment in his country.
4. A video has surfaced online, showing anti-monarchy protesters chanting “not my King” as King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla visited Liverpool Central Library in UK.
5. A team of engineers from Spain’s Barcelona successfully designed and built a sperm-injecting robot that has fertilised more than a dozen human eggs, resulting in healthy embryos and the birth of two baby girls. Engineers used a PlayStation 5 controller to get the robotic needle to fertilize the eggs. The procedure was done in New York City
6. India has sent a strong message to China during the first meeting of defence ministers of the two nations since the Galwan incident. Underscoring the need for peace and tranquility at the border, New Delhi said “violation of existing agreements has eroded the entire basis of bilateral relations”. The two Defence Ministers’ meeting follows at least 19 round of talks between the military commanders of India and China amid the stand-off in eastern Ladakh region
