Conjunctivitis has emerged as a predominant symptom of Covid-19 infection in children in the current surge of cases. According to paediatricians, watery discharge from eyes — a key feature of conjunctivitis — is being observed commonly among children affected by the virus over the past few weeks

1. PM Modi will flag off the much-awaited Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express on 25 April. The train will ply the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod route and will cover as many as 11 districts of Kerala. After the launch on Tuesday, the train will become the 16th Vande Bharat Express train in India.

In 2021, Odisha’s Bhubaneswar had witnessed a ‘Zero Shadow Day’.

1. Jharkhand IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan on Monday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in connection with alleged land scam cases. Ranjan was questioned for about 10 hours.

3. The nation’s top anti terror agency National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday attached the property of Hizbul Mujahideen Chief Syed Salahuddin’s son in Srinagar.The property of Syed Ahmed Shakeel son of Mohammad Yousuf Shah alias Syed Salahuddin, was attached in Ram Bagh area of Srinagar district under UAPA.

4. YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila was sent to jail for 14 days after she slapped, pushed and argued with police personnel during a protest in Hyderabad on Monday. Sharmila was stopped by police on her way to the SIT office in connection with the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) question paper leak case.

5. Bihar government on Monday issued a notification regarding the release of 27 prisoners, including former Lok Sabha MP Anand Mohan Singh, from jail. Singh was convicted in the murder of Gopalganj District Magistrate G Krishnaiah in 1994.
