1. External Affairs Ministry has reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and inalienable part of India and holding G20 meetings in these places is quite natural for the country. Responding to Pakistan’s criticism over India’s move to host G20 meetings in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said.
2. Reacting to Khalistani violence in London against the Indian mission, Mr. Bagchi said, India wanted to see action on the ground. He said, India is urging host countries including the United Kingdom to take action against those who vandalized the Indian Flag as well as the High Commission.
3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with his United Kingdom counterpart Rishi Sunak. Both leaders reviewed the progress on a number of bilateral issues as part of the India-UK Roadmap 2030. PM Modi raised the issue of security of Indian diplomatic establishments in the UK and called for strong action against anti-India elements by the UK Government.
4. India’s International Aviation Safety Assessment rating will continue to remain in Category One as the country meets the international standards for aviation safety oversight.
5. Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik inaugurates Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Millet Food Festival in Mumbai on 13 April. Various chefs from India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan have prepared various traditional cuisines using Millets for this festival.

7. The official death toll from April 11’s strike on the remote Kanbalu township in Myanmar’s central Sagaing region remains unclear, although at least 100 fatalities have been reported by the BBC. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the attack in Myanmar.
8. Japan announced plans to develop and build an array of advanced long-range missiles as it bolsters its defences amid increasing tensions with neighbouring China.
