1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi to flag off Rajasthan’s first Vande Bharat Express train via video conferencing at 11AM.

2. On April 10, 2023, India released the first edition of the Dogri version of the Indian Constitution. The release of this version is a significant step towards promoting linguistic diversity and preserving the cultural heritage of the country. Dogri is a language spoken in the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and is one of the 22 official languages recognized by the Indian Constitution.

3. Coal Ministry officials to interact with representatives of captive & commercial coal block allottees to discuss ways to increase coal production & other issues in New Delhi.

4. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-Bombay) to develop a touchless biometric capture system that is easy to use and accessible from anywhere. The collaboration involves joint research between the two organizations to create a mobile fingerprint capture system and a liveness model that is integrated with the capture system.

5. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan to visit Markapuram to release the second tranche of EBC Nestham.

YSR EBC Nestham Scheme was introduced by Andhra pradesh government on 25 January 2023. This programme will offer cash support of ₹45000. Women between 45-60 years of age and with less economic strength will benefit.

6. Shri Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor, has opened a Tulip Garden in the Jammu region at Sanasar’s Ramban Hill Resort. The garden spans five acres (40 Kanals) and is part of a ₹6.91 crore initiative.

7. The Odisha government has ordered the closure of all schools up to Class 10 and Anganwadi centres till April 16 in view of the heat wave situation.

The list includes 32 OBC candidates, 30 SC candidates and 16 ST candidates. It also includes eight women candidates and two retired civil servants.

11. BJP has fielded former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa’s son BY Vijayendra from the Shikaripur seat in the May 10 Assembly polls.

1. A Delhi court to hear bail plea of AAP leader former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with excise policy case being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

2. DMK led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) to hold a protest demonstration against Governor RN Ravi for making statements in violation of Constitution.

3. MP/MLA court in Patna to ask Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to appear in court in connection with a petition filed against him over his ‘Modi surname’ remark.

4. Samast Christi Samaj, an umbrella organisation of different Christian organizations to hold protest rally against rising atrocities in Mumbai.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for over eight hours in connection with the money laundering case linked to the alleged Railways’ land-for-jobs scam. Earlier on March 25, Yadav’s sister Misa Bharti was also questioned by ED. Former CMs Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi had gotten bail in the case in March.

After a letter, written in the name of RSS, exhorting Hindus to entrap Muslim girls and bring them back to the Sanatan religion was circulating on social media, the Sangh released a statement calling it “completely fake”. Head of media relations of the RSS Sunil Ambekar clarified in a tweet and posted the letter marking it as “fake.

7. Gangster-turned- politician Atiq Ahmed, who is being taken by Uttar Pradesh Police to Prayagraj from Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail, said, “I am satisfied with the security.” Ahmed is being brought to Prayagraj to present him before a court for a hearing in the Umesh Pal murder case.

1. 3. Tiger Global Management on Tuesday sold 1.6% stake in logistics startup Delhivery for about ₹388 crore. The shares were sold by Internet Fund III, Tiger Global’s venture capital fund, at an average price of ₹330 apiece. The fund, which held 4.68% stake in Delhivery as of December last year, sold 1.7% stake in February and then 0.75% stake in March.

4. Dairy stocks are rising in India as the world’s largest milk-producing nation suffers a rare shortage that has led to higher prices ahead of peak summer demand. Parag Milk Foods and Heritage Foods’ shares have risen over 14% each this month ahead of the heat waves that threaten dairy production.

5. MS Dhoni-backed Garuda Aerospace has become the first company to receive the government’s agri-drone subsidy. The Chennai-based startup has received the subsidy for its Garuda Kisan drones that help farmers with managing crops and spraying pesticides. Under the scheme, Garuda drones were given to eight farmers at an event held in Pune on Tuesday.

After many disagreed with the post, he clarified that he only intended to bring people from different sections closer to each other. “It has upset many of my Hindu brothers and sisters. DEFENCE

1. Highlighting the intense race towards militarisation of space, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan on Tuesday made a strong pitch for developing dual-use platforms with a special focus on incorporating cutting-edge technology in the space domain. Inaugurating a three-day Indian DefSpace Symposium organised by Indian Space Association (ISpA), Gen Chauhan said the steady traffic towards weaponisation of space has led to a possibility of a war in space.

The CDS flagged the anti-satellite tests carried out by Russia and China and stressed on the need for India to build offensive and defensive capabilities in the space domain.

2. Two B1-B heavy bomber jets of the US Air Force, for the first time, will be a part of the ‘Cope India’ exercise, a joint India-US mega air drills that began on Monday. The B1 heavy bomber jets will participate in the exercise this week. The ‘Cope India’ exercise is being held at Air Force Stations Arjan Singh (Panagarh), Agra and Kalaikunda.

Two B1 bombers were a part of the American exhibits at the Aero India 2023 in Bengaluru in February this year.

3. Defence Research Laboratory (DRL) Tezpur, took proactive steps to conduct training on “DRDO Water Testing Kit ” on Tuesday to Army personnel under 4 Corps.

In this Training elaborate demonstration was given to armed personnel to detect the contaminants present in water using the DRDO Water Testing Kit. DRL-DRDO has developed a Kit that can detect 11 different parameters including some very dangerous contaminants. it is difficult to detect these contaminants by the naked eyes.
