1. A Gujarat court has acquitted all 26 persons accused of gangrape murder in separate incidents in Kalol during communal riots in 2002. Of the total 39 accused, 13 died during the case pendency and the trial against them was abated. The court said there were contradictions in the accounts of witnesses and they did not support the prosecution’s argument.

1. 10th Edition of annual Indian Navy Sri Lanka Navy bilateral maritime exercise SLINEX-2023 is scheduled to be held at Colombo from 3rd of April. The exercise is being conducted in two phases of three days each, the Harbour Phase followed by Sea Phase. The Indian Navy will be represented by INS Kiltan and INS Savitri .
2. Amid an ongoing conflict between Russia and the US-backed Ukraine, the Air Forces of India and the US will hold wargames at the Kalaikunda air base in West Bengal from April 10. A squadron of the US Air Force’s F-15 Strike Eagle fighter aircraft will be arriving at the Kalaikunda airbase in West Bengal.
