1. High Commission of India in London on Thursday said the mission staff did not throw anything at the protestors gathered outside it. In a series of tweets, the High Commission said, a small minority of protesters threw water bottles, ink balloons, eggs and flares at the High Commission in London, and some of these hit other protestors and the Police.

1. World Tuberculosis Day 2023 – The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced that he had discovered the bacterium that causes TB, which opened the way towards diagnosing and curing this disease.
World TB Day is observed annually on March 24 to raise awareness about TB and efforts to end the global epidemic, marking the day in 1882 when the bacterium causing TB was discovered. World TB Day 2023, with the theme ‘Yes! We can end TB!’. India has set the target of eliminating the disease by 2025, five years ahead of the global target.
2. At least 35 people were injured after a ship belonging to the estate of late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen toppled over on Wednesday. The incident took place at Imperial Dock in Leith, Edinburgh. The 250-foot vessel was toppled over by strong winds. The ship was photographed leaning at a 45-degree angle on the dry dock.
3. British parliament has blocked TikTok on all the devices on its network, following a similar ban on government devices in the UK.
4. Israel’s parliament on Thursday passed a law limiting the conditions under which the PM of the country can be removed from power. The legislation states that a three-quarters majority in parliament or the cabinet would be needed to remove a PM from office.
5. A bill has been introduced in California’s Senate to outlaw caste-based discrimination, which if passed, would make the state the first in the US to ban discrimination on such grounds.
