😳 *WHY?* ❓❓
*Why is United Nations Day observed on 24 October?*
The Charter of the United Nations was signed in San Francisco on 26 June 1945 and came into force on 24 October 1945, after it was ratified by China, France, the Soviet Union, the UK, the US and a majority of the other signatories — the day the UN officially came into being. In 1947 the UN General Assembly declared 24 October as United Nations Day to make the UN’s aims and achievements known around the world. India is one of the UN’s founding members.
