1. Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw today met members of the Indian Women’s Kabaddi team in New Delhi. The team won the gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
2. India women beat Zimbabwe by four wickets in the first T20I in Raipur. Chasing 115, India got home in 15.4 overs for their sixth straight win; the second T20I is today.
3. Jagsher Singh Khangurra won bronze at the BWF World Junior Championships in Cairo after losing his semifinal to Indonesia’s Radithya Bayu Wardhana. India’s tally at the event stands at 13 medals (1 gold, 5 silver, 7 bronze).
4. Komal won bronze in the women’s 59kg at the U-23 World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, beating Kazakhstan’s Viktoriia Khusainova 7-2. Amruta Pujari has reached the women’s 72kg final.
5. The Sports Ministry revised the Scheme of Assistance to National Sports Federations, offering up to ₹50 crore for hosting international events in India, in line with preparations for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and the 2036 Olympic bid.
