1. PM Modi, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina have inaugurated the first cross-border energy pipeline between the two nations. PM Modi said the inauguration of the pipeline has started a new chapter in India-Bangladesh relations. The pipeline’s estimated cost is ₹377 crore, with India paying around ₹285 crore as grant assistance for building the Bangladesh portion of the pipeline.

2. India’s Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar, asserted that India’s relationship with China can only return to normalcy after resolving all outstanding issues at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

1. Twenty rifles, including Kalashnikov, petrol bomb bottles and other ammunition were seized from ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s residence in Lahore during a raid on Saturday, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Usman Anwar, said. The raid was conducted after Khan left for Islamabad to attend a court hearing on the Toshakhana case. Several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers were arrested during the raid.

2. Ukraine was attacked by multiple Russian drones on Friday night, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Saturday. Among the areas targeted were the capital, Kyiv, and the western Lviv province. The attacks took place despite the arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on March 17.

5. INFLATION IN PAKISTAN HITS RECORD 45.64%. Short-term inflation in Pakistan based on the Sensitive Price Index (SPI), saw a record increase to 45.64 per cent for the combined income group on a year-on-year basis for the week ending March 16.
