1. President Smt Droupadi Murmu addressed the valedictory session of the International Conference on The Future of Environment and Climate Dynamics this evening in New Delhi. The two-day Conference is being organised by the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

2. Senior journalist Payal Mehta passed away at the age of 46 in Mumbai on September 20, 2026, following a sudden medical emergency. Mehta, who was serving as an Assistant Editor at CNN-News18 (Network18), developed uneasiness late Saturday night and was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
3. A 32-year-old woman died Friday after the car she was travelling in plunged nearly 40 feet from a flyover on the Bengaluru-Mysuru national highway into an underpass near Mandya town in Karnataka.

1. Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth has successfully concluded his three-day official visit to Russia, marking another significant chapter in India–Russia defence cooperation. The visit, which ended on Friday, was characterised by high-level engagements with senior Russian military leadership and visits to key military institutions.

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Japan Air Self-Defense Force Chief of Staff General Takehiro Morita flew together in India’s indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas during a formation sortie in Jodhpur yesterday. The flight by the air chiefs of both nations comes as the Indian Air Force and Japan Air Self-Defense Force are conducting the joint air exercise ‘Veer Guardian 2026’ in Jodhpur.
3. India’s Zorawar light tank program, jointly developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Larsen & Toubro, is facing a delay of up to two years after the Army demanded protection levels beyond STANAG Level 4.
