1. Cristiano Ronaldo extended his legendary career on 21 August 2026, by scoring in his 25th consecutive league season. The 41-year-old netted in the 83rd minute during Al Nassr’s 4-0 Saudi Pro League victory against Al-Riyadh, bringing his official senior career goal tally to 977.
2. The Sports Ministry approved a 492-member Indian contingent for the Asian Games, which will begin next month in Japan. The contingent includes 265 male and 227 female athletes, with athletics accounting for the largest share of 73 participants.
3. India’s Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand have etched their names in history by clinching the bronze medal at the BWF Badminton World Championships.
