In another semifinal, Elena Rybakina will meet fourth seed Coco Gauff in the semi-finals in Toronto today. The Kazakh, Rybakina defeated 11th-seed Naomi Osaka 4-6,7-6, 6-4 to advance to last four. Gauff reached the last four after the American received a walkover in her quarter-final when her opponent Belinda Bencic of Switzerland withdrew due to a hip injury.
