It was a cagey start to a blockbuster final as reigning world champion Jaismine Lamboria took on defending Commonwealth Games champion Michaela Walsh of Northern Ireland.
Both boxers preferred to wait for openings rather than force the action, looking to catch each other on the counter. Walsh enjoyed some early success, landing a few scoring punches to the body, while Jaismine remained patient and picked her moments carefully.
