1. On 14th of July, 2026, India is set to observe 3rd NAMASTE Day, with this it marks three years since the launch of the National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) Scheme. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will lead the nationwide celebrations with the main event taking place at the Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata, West Bengal.

2. The Election Commission of India has enabled eligible voters to submit their Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration forms online through its official portal. Electors can authenticate using their registered mobile number or EPIC number and complete the process without waiting for a Booth Level Officer.

3. Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, will inaugurate seven Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) healthcare projects worth around 668 crore rupees across the country on Tuesday.

*These projects include the new Outpatient Department (OPD) Block at the ESIC Hospital in Sanathnagar, Telangana; the upgraded 200-bed ESIC Hospital at Beltola, Assam; the 100-bed ESIC Hospital at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu; the ESIS Hospital at Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh; the ESI Dispensary and Branch Office at Surendranagar, Gujarat.

4. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully completed three major qualification tests for the Gaganyaan Crew Module, with this it marks the country’s preparations for its first human spaceflight mission. It was conducted on 12th of July, 2026, the tests validated the key safety systems, including the Crew Module Uprighting System (CMUS), the umbilical separation mechanism and the apex cover separation system.

5. Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) examining the proposed ‘One Nation, One Election’ framework today held discussion with various stake holders and experts from various fields in Lucknow. The committee is on a two-day visit to the state as part of its nationwide consultations.

6. India’s total exports during April to June this year is estimated at over 232 billion US dollar registering a positive growth of 11.37 percent as compared to same period last year. Commerce and Industry Ministry said that the total exports for June this year is estimated at 73.45 Billion US dollar.

7. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports launched the next phase of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) on 13 July 2026. The campaign includes district-level competitions in five creative categories and follows a three-tier structure from district to state and then to a national finale.

8. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday called on Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, who had undergone a surgery on his right shoulder, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

*The Deputy Chief Minister has rotator cuff injuries on both his shoulders, but doctors have advised him to get himself operated on one shoulder at a time. Accordingly, he had surgery done on the right shoulder first on July 11.

9. Andhrapradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has promised to complete the Polavaram irrigation project works on Godavari river at Polavaram by March, 2027 to fulfill the dream of the people for decades.

10. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal.

1. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has called for a statewide college bandh in Telangana on July 14 over the pending fee reimbursement dues.

2. 24th day of the Cockroach Janta Party’s protest at Jantar Mantar and the 16th day of educator and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike.

A group of eminent citizens, including writer Arundhati Roy, actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, and economist Jayati Ghosh, on Monday appealed to protesters on indefinite hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to off their fast, while extending full support to their demand for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.

3. The Telangana High Court has ordered a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) probe into the alleged encroachment of over 74 acre of government land notified as a lake in Ranga Reddy district, and directed the Revenue Department to act against officials whose negligence allowed the encroachment.

4. The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a batch of petitions filed by teachers and non-teaching employees of recognised Madrasas in West Bengal, who had challenged the denial of regularised appointment and payment under the State government’s grant-in-aid scheme by a committee constituted by the top court in 2023.

5. The Supreme Court on Monday (July 13, 2026) asked the Union government to place on record the new aviation rules framed under the Bharatiya Vayuyan Adhiniyam, 2024 to regulate volatile airfares and predatory pricing in civil aviation.

6. Former AAP leader Tahir Hussain and four others convicted for killing of IB officer during 2020 Delhi riots.

7. An Ayodhya court today extended the judicial custody of all eight accused in the alleged donation irregularities case of Shri Ram temple by another 14 days.

8. Assam launched a statewide drug disposal campaign on 12 July 2026 at the 14th Assam Police Battalion ground in Daulasal, Nalbari district. The campaign involved the destruction of seized narcotics and psychotropic substances valued at ₹472.51 crore, along with the inauguration of Assam’s first narcotics incinerator at Daulasal.

1. The Government has said that four new-generation indigenous naval platforms have been inducted into the Indian Navy within a month, significantly strengthening the country’s maritime defence capabilities. The latest addition is INS Mahendragiri, the sixth indigenously designed Nilgiri-class stealth frigate, which was inducted into the Indian Navy on the 11th of this month.

Earlier, on the 21st of last month, the Navy inducted three indigenously designed and built platforms—INS Dunagiri, INS Sanshodhak and INS Agray.

2. Indian Naval Sail Training Ship INS Sudarshini has arrived in Boston, United States, after successfully participating in the Sail4th 250 celebrations in New York.

3. Vice President Shri CP Radhakrishnan was briefed on the National Cadet Corps and Sainik Schools by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth at Uprashtrapati Bhavan. Appreciating the NCC’s contribution to nation-building, the Vice President described the Cadet Exchange Programme under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat as an excellent initiative for strengthening national integration.

4. Defence, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB) is a proposed multilateral financial institution for military, security, and supply chain projects across allied nations. It is planned to have its headquarters in Canada and a European hub in Luxembourg, with a target to raise up to £100 billion, or about $134 billion.

The DSRB is designed to provide low-cost, long-term financing for defence-related procurement and industrial capacity.

5. Military Station Zakhama recently conducted an Ex-Servicemen Outreach Programme on 9 July 2026 in Kohima district, Nagaland. The programme covered welfare issues of ex-servicemen, war widows, and dependents, and included sessions on the SPARSH pension system and veteran-related welfare measures.

1. Actor Ranveer Singh led Dhurandhar makes an underwhelming start with poor footfalls at the Japan box office. It was released in Japan on 10 July 2026. Unfortunately, Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna starrer failed to make a mark. It followed the lead of Pushpa 2, which also underperformed on its opening day.

2. “Michael” has surpassed $1 billion in global ticket sales, becoming the first biopic to achieve the coveted box office milestone.

3. New Zealand actor Sam Neill, best known for his roles in Jurassic Park and The Piano, has died at the age of 78. His family said he passed away in Sydney following a sudden and unexpected medical event.

4. Actor Govinda is all set to make his big-screen comeback with Roopa, nearly seven years after his last theatrical release. The veteran actor announced the film at a recent press conference, where he also introduced newcomer Rani Swarnkar, who will star opposite him.

5. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan, is going to be launch with much fanfare on July 24 worldwide. Coming on the heels of this news is that Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay, who’s making his directorial debut with Tamil film Sigma, is going to make his acting debut as well, will be Postponed.

Jason Sanjay’s Sigma will not release on July 31 but has been pushed to August given Jana Nayagan’s release.
