THE SUNDARBANS is the world’s largest mangrove forest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Located in the delta formed by the Ganga, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers, the Sundarbans spread across India and Bangladesh. It is famous for its rich biodiversity and is home to the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger.

The Indian part of the Sundarbans lies mainly in West Bengal and plays a vital role in protecting the coastline from cyclones and tidal surges.
