2. About 30 fire tenders, two Navy helicopters and over 120 fire force personnel continued to battle the fire at the Brahmapuram waste plant in Kochi on Monday. Even though the fire appeared to be extinguished, massive amounts of smoke were still rising from the waste mound.
3. Malayalam actress Anicka Vikhraman has accused her ex-boyfriend Anoop Pillai of physically abusing her. She took to social media and shared pictures of her bruises. Anicka added that she has filed a police complaint against Anoop, adding that he is absconding and is currently in New York. Anicka also stated that Anoop cheated on her multiple times.

1. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remove Adani Enterprises from short-term additional surveillance measure (ASM) framework from March 8. The NSE put Adani Ports, Ambuja Cements and Adani Enterprises under the framework on February 3 after they suffered heavy losses following the Hindenburg report.

2. The Centre has released a set of guidelines for celebrities, influencers, and virtual influencers on social media platforms. The guidelines called ‘Endorsements Know-hows’ aims at ensuring that individuals do not mislead their audiences when endorsing products and services and that they are in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act.

3. China announced its defence budget for 2023.
China is the second biggest spender on defence next to the US whose defence budget for 2023 totalled USD 816 billion. From India’s point of view, however, China’s defence budget continued to be over three times higher. India’s defence budget for 2023-24 amounted to Rs 5.94 lakh crore (about USD 72.6 billion).
