1. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to the people of the country, particularly the people of Odisha, on the occasion of the harvest festival Raja.

4. The House Listing and Housing Census (Phase-I) of the Census of India 2027 has been successfully completed in Punjab during the notified period from 15th May to 13th June, 2026. Chief Principal Census Officer & Director of Census Operations, Punjab, Dr. Navjot Khosa informed that the Phase-1 Operation was conducted throughout Punjab’s 23 districts and 14 Municipal Corporations.
5. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the NEET UG re-examination for admission to undergraduate medical education. Candidates can download their admit cards from NTA’s official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The Re-examination is scheduled to be held on 21st of this month, from 2 PM to 05:15 PM.
6. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman V Narayanan has informed that they have collaborated with the Department of Atomic Energy to develop an advanced artificial heating system that can protect lunar lander from the freezing weather of the Moon.
Addressing the CSIR-RISE Conclave in Bengaluru, ISRO chief explained that Chandrayaan 3 lander Vikram fuelled by solar energy, operated only for 14 days on Moon. ISRO will now work with the Atomic Energy Department to develop a lunar lander that can survive on the Moon for up to 200 days.
7. The Government has appointed noted economist Professor Alakh N. Sharma as Chairman of a High-Level Technical Expert Committee on Labour Statistics.
8. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over parts of North East India and West Bengal. IMD said that conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into more parts of Maharashtra, some parts of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and South Chhattisgarh during next four to five days.

1. The Government has debunked a WhatsApp message circulating online that falsely claims applications are being accepted for free laptops under the National Student Laptop Scheme 2026. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has clarified that this claim is fake and that the Government has not announced any such scheme.
2. Rebel TMC MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at his residence in Delhi amid ongoing tussle in the Trinamool Congress. The TMC leaders include Kakoli Ghosh, Saayoni Ghosh, Mala Roy and Satabdi Roy. Earlier, they had met BJP leader and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav.
3. Centre suspends Cell Broadcasting Services
The service is kept on hold until further instructions due to certain issues flagged by the competent authorities, says order issued by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on June 12; according to sources, a disaster alert allegedly issued at midnight to the Prime Minister’s contact number forced the govt. to temporarily suspend the service.
4. A large number of youths under the banner Cockroach Janta Party staged a protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Sunday. The CJP has been holding demonstrations across the country, calling for the resignation of the Union education minister over alleged examination irregularities. Actor Prakash Raj joined the protest too and addressed the crowd.
5. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested two former executives of the Reliance Anil Ambani Group under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in Mumbai.
6. The Bombay High Court has sought a response from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on a plea filed by P. Varavara Rao, an accused in the Bhima Koregaon case, seeking permission to relocate from Mumbai to Hyderabad. The 85-year-old Telugu poet, who is out on medical bail, has argued that he cannot afford to live in Mumbai.

In Maharashta, eight devotees, including children died after a pickup vehicle carrying them fell into a roadside well in Solapur district this afternoon. Five injured were shifted to Pandharpur for treatment. An investigation has been launched into the incident. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief at the tragic accident. He also announced an ex-gratia of 5 lakh rupees to the families of those who died in the accident.

1. INS Sharda has successfully concluded its visit to Colombo Sri Lanka. The Ministry of Defence said, the visit further strengthened maritime cooperation and friendship between India and Sri Lanka.
2. Raksha Mantri reviews Combined Graduation Parade of 217 Course at Air Force Academy, Dundigal. A total of 231 Flight Cadets (194 men & 37 women), including the first batch of women from the National Defence Academy, were commissioned as officers in the Indian Air Force (IAF) following their graduation from the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, Hyderabad on 13 June 2026.
3. Two Rwandan officer cadets became the first from their country to complete military training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun and be commissioned into the Rwandan Army.
The two cadets, Second Lieutenants Ndagijimana Elie, 24, and F Niyikiza, 26, marked the occasion in the presence of Mwepesi Emile, counsellor at the Rwanda High Commission in India.
4. France has agreed to equip India’s future Rafale F5 fighters with upgraded satellite communication links and artificial intelligence algorithms, enhancing situational awareness, pilot decision-making, and collaborative combat capabilities.

1. India’s retail inflation accelerated to 3.93 per cent in May this year on an annual basis, rising for the fifth consecutive month under the new series. The inflation print was moderately higher from 3.48 per cent recorded in April.
