1. IPL Cricket, Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 40 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night. Delhi Capitals set a target of 204 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In reply, KKR scored only 163 runs in 18.4 overs.
Put into bat, Delhi Capitals posted 203 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
2. As the IPL now at the climax part, final 4 teams are now officially confirmed for the Playoffs of the IPL 2026. The qualified teams such as Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals secured the playoffs berth. As the Rajasthan royals defeated the Mumbai Indians they have sealed the last spot in top-4.
3. At the Asian Under-23 Wrestling Championships in Da Nang, Vietnam, Indian wrestlers put up a dominant show, securing two gold medals today.
In the 57 kg freestyle category, Akshay Tanaji Dhere defeated Yelaman Amangeldiyev 4-2 to claim the top podium spot. Meanwhile, in the 97 kg freestyle category, Vicky also struck gold after a closely fought 7-5 victory over Sherzod Poyonov.
4. India will field its first official freediving team at the World Apnea Pool Championship in Budapest, Hungary, from 2 June 2026. The team has three athletes: Archana Thiagarajan, Akshay Thatte, and Vachan H U.
