1. Symbiosis Skills and Professional (SSPU), Pune, has launched Asia’s first UNESCO Chair on Gender Inclusion and Skill Development. The initiative was announced during the international conference titled “Women Leading the Future of Work”, organised in collaboration with UNESCO.

2. India has formally submitted its new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) for the 2031–35 period to the United Nations climate body under the Paris Agreement. The updated pledges focus on increasing clean energy capacity, reducing emissions intensity and expanding carbon sinks through forests and tree cover.

3. IRCTC has launched a 14-day Bharat–Bhutan Mystic Mountain Tour starting from New Delhi. The rail-cum-road journey offers travelers a premium experience across Northeast India and Bhutan aboard the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train.

4. NITI Aayog has unveiled a two-phase roadmap titled ‘DPI@2047’ aimed at transforming India into a $30 trillion economy. The strategy leverages Digital Public Infrastructure to drive economic growth, innovation, and large-scale inclusion.

5. Annalena Baerbock the President of the United Nations General Assembly visited the India on the April 28 and marked her first trip after assuming this role. This visit highlights the India’s growing importance in the global diplomacy and the multilateral cooperation.

6. On the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced that the major milestone to supporting rural governance. This agency has completed the high-resolution land use and land cover mapping for the entire country. This initiative aims to empower the local bodies with accurate data for the better planning and the decision-making.
