1. India-France Foreign Office Consultations held in Paris yesterday, which was co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and the Secretary-General of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Martin Briens.

2. India sends 100 electric buses to Mauritius in largest export deal : Part of the Hinduja Group and a subsidiary of Ashok Leyland.

The final batch of buses was handed over by Minister of External Affairs of India S Jaishankar to Prime Minister of Mauritius Navinchandra Ramgoolam during an official engagement involving representatives from both countries.

3. Iranian Ambassador to India, Dr Mohammad Fathali, has thanked the Government and People of India for being reliable and compassionate partners in times of hardship.

4. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has concluded a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates, wrapping up high-level meetings with Emirati leadership. During the visit, Dr Jaishankar met UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and conveyed a personal message from PM Modi.

1. Roman Gofman has been appointed as the next head of Mossad, with confirmation on April 13, 2026. He will assume office on July 2, succeeding David Barnea, at a time when Israel faces complex regional security challenges.

2. US Hormuz blockade: Neutral ships, aid allowed; unauthorised ships to be stopped.
The U.S. military will enforce a blockade in the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea east of the Strait of Hormuz, applying to all vessel traffic regardless of flag, the U.S. Central Command said in a note.

U.S. Central Command said ​it will begin implementing ‌a blockade of all ​maritime traffic entering ⁠and exiting Iranian ports on April 13 at ‌10 a.m. ET (1400 GMT), after President ‌Donald Trump said ‌the ⁠U.S. Navy would ⁠start blockading the Strait of Hormuz.

3. A Nigerian Air Force strike targeting jihadi rebels reportedly hit a local market in northeastern Nigeria, killing over 100 civilians, including children and injuring several people. Officials confirmed a misfire without providing details. Rights group Amnesty International said that these people were killed in the airstrike on Saturday on a village in Yobe state, near the border with Borno state.

4. Pakistani forces have conducted rocket strikes in the Shali Dara area of Khas Kunar district of Afghanistan.
