1. President Droupadi Murmu to be on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh from February 20 to 21, to attend 37th Statehood Day celebrations of Arunachal Pradesh at Itanagar.

2. Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to visit poll-bound Nagaland to participate in a mega roadshow. Nagaland will poll for 60 Assembly seats in a single phase on February 27 and the counting of votes will take place on March 2.

3. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said that his faction got the Shiv Sena name and the ‘bow and arrow’ symbol because of the blessings of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He welcomed the decision of the Election Commission.

1. Gujarat government-appointed SIT has revealed that corroded wires and welding of old suspenders with new ones were some of the faults that led to the Morbi bridge collapse, which killed around 135 people. The SIT claimed that out of 49 wires of one of the main cables, 22 were corroded, indicating that they were already broken before the incident.

2. Kerala High Court to hear All India Digital Cable Federation’s (AIDCF) appeal seeking interim relief from disconnection notices issued by broadcasters.

1. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council recently accepted the Group of Ministers’ (GoM) recommendations on long pending constitution of GST appellate tribunal in the country.

GST Council decides to tax services supplied by courts and tribunals under the reverse charge mechanism.

1. Military-to-military exchange program between the Indian Army and Uzbekistan Army, the fourth edition of biennial training Exercise DUSTLIK (2023) will be conducted from Monday till 5th March, 2023 in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.

2. Indian Army’s medical team at Turkiye’s Iskenderun region is returning home after providing aid to earthquake-affected victims. Meanwhile, the External Affairs Ministry said the final NDRF team, along with their dog squad, has also returned from Turkiye. India had launched ‘Operation Dost’ to extend assistance to Turkiye as well as Syria after a devastating earthquake on February 6.

3. The Indian Navy will soon deploy homegrown firefighting robots on its largest warships, including the aircraft carriers INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya.

4. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) seeks 450 high-powered sniper rifles for use by its field units deployed in high altitude areas.
