2. India delivered a dominant performance in compound Archery, clinching three gold medals in team events of World Archery Para Series in Bangkok, Thailand. In the women’s team compound final, Sheetal Devi and Payal Nag registered 150-147 victory over Kazakhstan. The men’s team followed suit, as Toman Kumar and Shyam Sunder Swami led India to a convincing 153-146 win against Chinese Taipei. Sheetal Devi and Toman Kumar teamed up in the mixed compound event to defeat Indonesia 153-146, securing India’s third gold of the day.
3. The Khelo India Tribal Games concluded yesterday in Chhattisgarh.
In the overall medal tally, Karnataka emerged as the overall champion with 23 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals. Odisha finished second with 21 gold, 15 silver and 21 bronze medals, while Jharkhand secured the third position with 16 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze medals.
4. The South Asian Football Federation U-20 Championship final will be played between defending champions India and Bangladesh in Malé, Maldives. India reached the final by defeating Bhutan 5-0, while Bangladesh beat Nepal 1-0 in the semi-finals.
