1. India finished on top of the medal standings at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix, securing a remarkable 208 medals as the three-day competition concluded in New Delhi. The host nation won 75 gold, 69 silver and 64 bronze medals. Russia finished second with 35 medals, while Bosnia and Herzegovina were placed third with three.
2. England defeated India 2-0 in the final of the 2026 FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup Qualifiers in Hyderabad on 14 March 2026, to take first place. Despite the loss, both India and England secured qualification for the 2026 FIH World Cup, with Grace Balsdon (13′) and Elizabeth Neal (43′) scoring for England.
3. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will celebrate the achievements of Indian cricket stars and contributors at the prestigious Naman Awards 2026, scheduled to take place in New Delhi today. At this year’s ceremony, cricket legends Roger Binny and Rahul Dravid will receive the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest honour given by the BCCI for exceptional service to Indian cricket.
Meanwhile, former India women’s captain Mithali Raj will be honoured with the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women in recognition of her remarkable impact on women’s cricket.
