1. Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney arrives in New Delhi. Carney is on an official visit to India from 27 February to 2 March 2026. Earlier, PM Carney visited Mumbai to participate in business engagements.

2. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held talks with his counterparts from several Gulf countries including, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar stressing the need for de-escalation through dialogue and diplomacy. Israel renews attacks on Iran as Tehran launches fresh retaliatory attacks across Gulf region.

3. Indian Embassy in Kuwait continues to assist Indian nationals stranded in Kuwait due to the temporary airspace shutdown.

4. The Consulate General of India in Istanbul is monitoring flight cancellations and diversions at Istanbul’s airports. Indian passengers are advised to follow airline and airport instructions.

5. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis hosted a welcome reception for a high-level Canadian delegation at the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai . The delegation includes Canada’s Minister of National Revenue François-Philippe Champagne, Premier of New Brunswick Susan Holt.

1. US-Israeli Airstrikes on Iran Continue, Retaliatory Missile and Drone Attacks Hit Israel, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait.

2. Senior Iranian cleric Ayatollah Alireza Arafi named as country’s interim SupremeLeader after killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in joint US-Israeli airstrikes. Condolence gatherings and protests erupt across several countries over death of Iran’s Supreme leader.

3. Israel renews attacks on Iran as Tehran launches fresh retaliatory attacks across Gulf region.

4. Belgium has seized an oil tanker belonging to the Russian shadow fleet in the North Sea.

5. Three people were killed and 14 others were injured in a shooting at a bar in Austin, Texas.

6. Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family, calling it as a cynical murder that violated human morality and international law.

7. In Pakistan, ten people have been killed in violent clashes in Karachi. Several others were injured when police confronted protesters marching towards the U.S. Consulate.

8. China has urged for an immediate ceasefire after the US and Israel’s strikes on Iran.

9. In Bolivia, the death toll has risen to 22 after a military plane carrying 18 tons of new banknotes crashed on Friday in the western city of El Alto, a city adjacent to the capital La Paz. Another 29 people were injured, mostly passengers travelling on public transport where the plane crashed.

10. The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned the US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran and called for an immediate return to negotiations to pull the region and the world back from the brink of a wider war.
