Aero India 2023

Aero India 2023: PM Modi inaugurates Asia’s largest aero show in Bengaluru. Aero India 2023 will witness participation by more than 80 countries. Ministers of about 30 countries and 65 CEOs of global and Indian OEMs are likely to participate in Aero India 2023. Aero India 2023 exhibition will witness the participation of more than 800 Defence companies including around 100 foreign and 700 Indian companies.

1. President Droupadi Murmu to grace 10th convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow and president also visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple & attend Ganga Aarti at Varanasi.

2. PM Modi dedicated to the nation, the 246 km Delhi – Dausa – Lalsot section of the Delhi Mumbai Expressway on Sunday. He also laid the foundation stone for 247 kilometres of National Highway projects to be developed at a cost of more than 5,940 crore rupees. Former Supreme Court judge S Abdul Nazeer, who was part of the Benches that delivered judgements in Ayodhya land title dispute, triple talaq case and demonetisation case, was appointed Andhra Pradesh Governor. The nomination comes five weeks after his retirement. Justice Nazeer is the third judge from the five-judge Bench that gave the Ayodhya ruling to receive a post-retirement appointment.

3. Delhi HC to hear a plea moved by Delhi Police against discharge of 11 persons including student activists Sharjeel Imam, Asif Iqbal Tanha, Safoora Zargar, who were previously accused in 2019 Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University Violence.

4. NIA arrests 2 terror suspects planning to leave for Afghanistan. The two men, who were in online contact with foreign-based handlers, were arrested from Karnataka and Maharashtra. The case is related to radicalising and provoking youth to indulge in acts of terrorism against India.

5. Atleast 45 shops, including 22 pharmacies, were sealed and two others were demolished during an ongoing anti-encroachment drive in the Banihal town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Sunday,

1. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said India is discussing with G20 nations ways to come up with a standardised global framework for regulating cryptocurrencies.

2. Recently, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) permitted all inbound travellers from the Group of Twenty (G-20) countries and non-resident Indians to access Unified Payment Interface (UPI) for their merchant payments (P2M) at select airports.

3. Union minister for electronics and information technology recently said that Mission Bhashini’s capabilities have been integrated with the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to make digital payments through the UPI 123 Pay available in more than 20 local Indian languages.

1. Rapper MC Stan has been declared the winner of the reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss 16’. He was awarded the Bigg Boss trophy, a car and a cash prize of ₹31.8 lakh. Shiv Thakare was named the runner-up, while Priyanka Chahar Choudhary came third. Shalin Bhanot and Archana Gautam were among the five finalists of ‘Bigg Boss 16’.

2. Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, will reportedly make his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar-backed film, tentatively titled ‘Sarzameen’. The film will go on floors this month.

1. PM Modi to inaugurate 14th edition of Aero India 2023 at Air Force Station, Yelahanka in Bengaluru at 9:30 AM.

2. The HAL is showcasing a full-scale model of supersonic trainer aircraft named HLFT-42 with the image of Lord Hanuman on its tail at Aero India show in Bengaluru.

The BrahMos Aerospace is showcasing models of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile along with BrahMos NG missile. A ‘Prachand’ helicopter was also captured outside the India Pavilion at Aero India in Bengaluru.

2. Indian Navy’s Captain Prashant Saxena AWPS (Mbi) launched Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge, Yard 125 (LSAM 15) on February 10. The Barge was launched at M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd in Thane.

3. During the session, 6 UK companies made investment proposals in the UP state : The British Minister of State for Defence Procurement on Sunday said that the United Kingdom will invest in defence, aerospace and medical sectors in Uttar Pradesh.
