1. PM Modi has returned to New Delhi after concluding his two day successful visit to Malaysia.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held wide-ranging talks with his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur. The talks covered political, defence and security cooperation, trade and investment, the digital economy, energy, education, tourism and regional issues.

2. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met the National Security and Intelligence Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada during his visit to Ottawa. The visit was part of the regular bilateral security dialogue between the two sides.

3. India is in dialogue with China to explore the openi of an additional route for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, including the possible use of the Shipki La Pass in Himachal Pradesh.

1. Japan PM SanaeTakaichi’s ruling coalition registers a landmark victory in the snap parliamentary elections.

2. Iran’s top diplomat said that Tehran’s strength lies in its ability to say no to the great powers, striking a hardline tone following negotiations with the US over its nuclear programme and in the wake of nationwide protests.

3. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the imposition of new sanctions targeting companies involved in the production of Russian missiles and drones, as well as entities linked to Russia’s financial sector.

4. In Bangladesh, a total of 2,034 candidates, including 275 independents, are contesting the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) Election and Referendum scheduled for the 12th of this month. The Election Commission of the country has said that 51 political parties are in the race, with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) fielding the highest 291 candidates under the paddy sheaf symbol. Islami Andolon Bangladesh has nominated 258 candidates, followed by Jamaat-e-Islami with 229 and the Jatiya Party with 198.

5. In Bangladesh: Ex-minister and Awami League leader Ramesh Chandra Sen dies in jail custody at Dinajpur District.

6. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington on Wednesday regarding the US-Iran talks.
