1. Nine fishermen from Mayiladuthurai were arrested by Sri Lankan Navy at Kodiakkarai.
2. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has advised Indian travellers to obtain the necessary approvals for carrying medicines before travelling to Saudi Arabia. This comes after Saudi Arabia introduced an electronic service platform for obtaining prior permission for the clearance of medicines intended for personal use by individuals entering or leaving the country.
3. The President of Mauritius, Dharambeer Gokhool, arrived in Andhra Pradesh yesterday on a five-day official visit to the State.

1. US President Donald Trump has said that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, along with his wife, has been captured and flown out of the country. They has been charged with Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States.
2. Venezuela has declared a national emergency amid reported attacks by the United States. Venezuela’s government has accused the United States of attacking civilian and military installations in multiple states after at least seven explosions and low-flying aircraft were heard in the capital, Caracas.
3. In Bangladesh, A hindu businessman, Khokon Chandra Das (50), of Damudya upazila in Shariatpur district, died while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka. According to police and family members, Khokon was attacked on Wednesday night in the Tiloi area of Damudya while returning home.
4. Acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Tarique Rahman, is set to assume the responsibilities of party chairman after the demise of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.
