1. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 began in Dubai.
India beat the UAE by 234 runs in the opening match of the Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup in Dubai yesterday. Chasing a target of 434, the UAE could only reach 199 for 7 in their 50 overs.
2. Chandigarh University has created sporting history by becoming the first university in India to win the Khelo India University Games title for two consecutive years. The university finished on top of the medal tally at the 5th Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2025, held in Rajasthan, total 67 medals, including 42 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze.
3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Men’s Junior Hockey Team for winning the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025.
4. The elite men’s and women’s national boxing championships were rescheduled yesterday to January 4 to 10 due to pollution control measures mandated by the Government. The championships were earlier scheduled from December 31 to January 6 at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida.
5. Star Indian Football player Ashalata Devi has been nominated for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Asian Cup all-time Dream XI. She has been nominated in the category of defenders.
