1. PM Modi said that India currently stands as the model of high growth and low inflation for the world. Addressing an event in New Delhi, Mr Modi highlighted that the 8 percent GDP growth rate during the 2nd Quarter of the current financial year is a reflection of the country’s rising progress.

6. The Department of Posts has published a draft amendment to the Post Office Act, 2023 to introduce a digital, standardised addressing framework known as DHRUVA. The initiative is designed to make address sharing interoperable, user-centric and suited to India’s expanding digital ecosystem.
Concept and Structure of DHRUVA
DHRUVA, short for Digital Hub for Reference and Unique Virtual Address, proposes replacing traditional textual addresses with virtual labels similar to email or UPI handles.
7. Telangana will host the two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 in Hyderabad tomorrow. Global leaders, industry heads, and experts will attend 27 sessions on key sectors like energy, IT, healthcare, and startups. Major organisations, including the WHO, World Bank, ADB, and UNICEF, will participate in the event. The State will also release its Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document, aiming for a 3-trillion-dollar economy by 2047.

1. India’s aviation issued a show-cause notice to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers on Saturday, demanding an explanation within 24 hours for widespread flight disruptions that have cancelled over 2,700 flights since December 1.
2. The government has directed IndiGo to clear all pending passenger refunds without delay. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has mandated that refunds for all cancelled or disrupted flights be completed by 8 PM.
3. Delhi Police has arrested 16 gangsters and notorious criminals in the national capital and its adjoining areas. In order to curb organised crime across Delhi-NCR, Delhi Police carried out a large-scale night operation comprising over eight hundred fifty police personnels.
4. High Court rejects mosque’s plea to use loudspeaker : The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court refused to grant relief to a mosque seeking permission to use loudspeakers, noting it was not entitled to use the device to practise religion as a matter of right.
5. Tension prevailed in Bengal’s communally sensitive Murshidabad on Saturday as suspended Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir laid the foundation stone for a Babri Masjid-style mosque amid tight security. The event was held today to coincide with the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.

23 people have been killed in a blaze at a nightclub in North Goa’s Arpora following a cylinder blast late last night. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant rushed to the spot. DGP Alok Kumar said all the bodies have been recovered. The police will investigate the cause of this incident and take action based on the findings.
