1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Karnataka and Goa today. In Udupi, he will visit Sri Krishna Matha, join the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana, inaugurate Suvarna Teertha Mantapa and dedicate the Kanaka Kavacha at Kanakana Kindi.

In Goa, he will attend the 550th Year Celebrations of Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math, unveil a 77-ft bronze statue of Shri Ram, inaugurate the Ramayana Theme Park Garden, and release a special stamp and commemorative coin.

2. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India concluded its 4th Online Short Term Internship Programme (OSTI) of 2025-2026 with 80 University level students from 16 States and UTs successfully completing it. The OSTI began on 10th November 2025.

3. PM Modi announces plan to open nuclear sector for private players; Unveils country’s first privately developed orbital rocket, Vikram-I. PM was speaking after inaugurating Indian space startup Skyroot’s Infinity Campus in Hyderabad through video conferencing from New Delhi.

4. President Smt Droupadi Murmu addressed the Odisha Legislative Assembly on the first-day of the winter session at Bhubaneswar. She urged the members to work with dedication to bring smiles on the faces of common people and build a prosperous Odisha by 2036 when the state completes 100 years of its formation.

5. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada flagged off the Gorakhpur-Izzatnagar Express through video conference from New Delhi.

6. In Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav jointly inaugurated the new broadcast service and Malwi dialect bulletin.

7. The Assam Legislative Assembly passed the Assam Prohibition of Polygamy Bill, 2025, aimed at reinforcing marital accountability and protecting women’s rights. The legislation establishes one of the strictest legal frameworks against polygamy in the country.

8. India will convene its 60th Director General of Police and Inspector General of Police Conference in Nava Raipur from 28 to 30 November, with top national leaders overseeing deliberations. The annual meet will centre on strategies to eliminate the remaining pockets of Naxal activity and assess the nation’s internal security preparedness.

9. The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved a ₹7,280 crore scheme to promote domestic manufacturing of Sintered Rare Earth Permanent Magnets (REPMs). This is the first-ever initiative of its kind in India aimed at establishing an integrated REPM manufacturing ecosystem, thereby reducing dependency on imports, boosting high-tech industries, and supporting India’s Net Zero 2070 commitment.

10. Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has constituted a four-member committee for cadre restructuring. The move aims to enhance both organizational efficiency and the quality of customer service for millions of EPF account holders across India.

11. President Droupadi Murmu has nominated Justice Vikram Nath, a senior judge of the Supreme Court, as the Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

12. The deep depression forming over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka coast has intensified into the cyclonic storm, Ditwah. According to the Regional Met Department, Southern Region, the storm is likely to reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal off North Tamil Nadu and adjoining coastal areas of South Andhra Pradesh. It is likely to bring heavy rains to the Delta districts over the next 24 hours.

1. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has rejected the proposal received from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute Medical Excellence (SMVDIME), Katra, seeking to place 100 percent of its MBBS seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) to be filled through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

2. The Enforcement Directorate has arrested online money gaming platform WinZO founders – Saumya Singh Rathore and Paavan Nanda – on money laundering charges.

3. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday conducted search operations at 15 locations across 10 states in connection with an alleged bribery case involving medical colleges and government officials. The raids are being conducted in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi.

4. The Ministry of Steel (MoS) has ordered a temporary halt on enforcing 55 Indian Standards (IS) under the Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024. This move follows recommendations from the High-Level Committee on Non-Financial Regulatory Reforms (HLC-NFRR) and aims to reduce regulatory bottlenecks across the steel supply chain.

5. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has clarified that there are no guidelines mandating that meals served in trains must be Halal certified. There have been recent media reports stating that Railways has been served a notice by the National Human Rights Commission on a complaint that only Halal-processed meat is being used in non-vegetarian meals served on trains by Railways. Talking to media, Mr Vaishnaw said Railways never demand any Halal certificates.

6. The Supreme Court has asked the Centre to consider bringing a stringent law to deal with derogatory remarks against persons with disabilities. The top court asked the Centre to consider framing a statute to make derogatory remarks ridiculing persons with disabilities and rare genetic disorders a penal offence on the lines of the SC-ST Act.

1. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday announced the rebranding of its data centre business as Larsen & Toubro-Vyoma – a name inspired by the Sanskrit word for ‘sky’. The business, launched in 2024, was earlier known as L&T-Cloudfiniti.

1. Operation Sindoor emerged as a defining moment in India’s counter-terror and deterrence strategy, President Droupadi Murmu said, while inaugurating the third edition of the Indian Army’s Chanakya Defence Dialogue-2025 on Thursday (November 27, 2025).

2. The Indian Navy commissioned INS Mahe, the first vessel of the Mahe-class Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi presided over the ceremony as the chief guest, marking a significant milestone in the induction of a new generation of indigenous, shallow-water combatants.

3. Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sahyadri, an indigenously designed and built stealth frigate of the Indian Navy, undertook an exercise with Philippine Navy prior to making port call at Manila, Philippines, for the harbour phase of the deployment.

The ship is currently on an operational deployment in the Indo-Pacific, participating in various multilateral and bilateral naval exercises with Friendly Foreign Countries, that include MALABAR-2025, AUSINDEX-2025, JAIMEX-25, and maiden bilateral exercise with the Republic of Korea Navy.

4. Rear Admiral Mohamed Tahin, Inspector of the Royal Moroccan Navy, is on an official visit to India from 24-27 Nov 2025, aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation and enhancing bilateral naval engagements.

5. The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) hosted the maiden Shipbuilding, Indigenisation & IT Conference at Madikeri, Karnataka on 27 November 2025, marking a significant milestone in strengthening India’s maritime capabilities.

6. The soldiers of the Indian Army and the Nepalese Army on Tuesday began Joint Military exercise “Exercise SURYAKIRAN XIX – 2025” at Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.

Being conducted from November 25 to December 8, 2025, the 14-day exercise is the 19th edition of this institutionalised bilateral Army exercise.
