1. President Smt Droupadi Murmu urged everyone to work together to ensure water availability and security, highlighting that climate change is affecting the water cycle in today’s time. Conferring the 6th National Water Awards 2024 and the first Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari Awards in New Delhi, the President said that the efficient use of water is essential for the country.

1. India and Germany reaffirmed their commitment to enhance military-to-military cooperation with a focus on developing defence ties as a key pillar of the Strategic Partnership. Co-chairing a High Defence Committee meeting in New Delhi, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and German State Secretary Jens Plötner discussed a range of bilateral security and defence issues.
