1. PM Modi returned to New Delhi this afternoon after concluding a successful two-day state visit to Bhutan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Kālachakra, ‘Wheel of Time’ Empowerment with King of Bhutan in Thimpu; Concludes two day visit to Bhutan.

2. President Murmu also announced India’s decision to send Antiretroviral (ARV) medicines, used to treat HIV infections, to Botswana.

3. India and Botswana sign MoU on cooperation in health and pharmaceuticals sector. African nation also announces translocation of eight Cheetahs to India.

4. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar says, India looks forward to further rebuilding bilateral partnership with Canada; meets his counterparts from hosts Canada, Mexico and France on the sidelines of G-7 foreign ministers’ meeting.

5. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met the Investment Minister of Saudi Arabia Khalid A. Al-Falih and his delegation in New Delhi.

6. India and Sri Lanka have agreed to extend the framework for implementing High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) in Sri Lanka through Indian grant assistance for another five years. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Colombo by High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha and Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma.

1. Counting of votes is underway in Iraq for 329 Parliamentary seats. The Iraqi electoral commission said, the turnout was 55 per cent of the country’s 21 million registered voters. More than 7,700 candidates, including 2,247 women contested the election, which was held Tuesday. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani is seeking a second term.

2. The 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) has transformed Expo Centre Sharjah into a vibrant meeting ground for global literature, drawing more than 2,350 publishers from 118 countries. Organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, the twelve-day fair, which runs until November 16, features over 1,200 sessions, including author talks, poetry readings, workshops, and cultural interactions, reaffirming Sharjah’s position as a leading international hub for books and ideas.

3. The Baloch Advocacy and Studies Centre (BASC) has reported a sharp rise in enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan, linking the escalation to Pakistan’s expanding resource exploitation.

4. Death Toll from Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica Rises to 45; Dozens Still Missing.

5. Russia has banned the entry of 30 Japanese nationals, including a Foreign Ministry Spokesperson from entering Russia in response to Tokyo’s alleged anti-Russian sanctions.

6. A Turkish C-130 military cargo plane with at least 20 personnel on board has crashed in Georgia after taking off from Azerbaijan. The number of casualties and the cause of the incident were not yet clear.
