1. India started their campaign on a winning note in the first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind. The hosts defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the opening match in New Delhi. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Sri Lanka were restricted to just 41 runs in 13.3 overs. India’s sharp fielding led to seven run-outs, while Skipper Deepika TC, Ganga Kadam, and Jamuna Rani Tudu claimed a wicket each.
Six teams – India, Sri Lanka, the USA, Nepal, Australia, and Pakistan – are participating in the tournament.
2. In shooting, Samrat Rana clinched the men’s 10-meter air pistol gold at the ISSF World Championship in Cairo.
