The Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Conrad K Sangma announced the lineup for the much-awaited Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 which will be held on November 14 and 15, at Polo Ground, Shillong will feature Irish rock band The Script, R & B superstar Jason Derulo, 3-time Grammy winner DJ Diplo Pop icons Aqua, Bollywood actress and performer Nora Fatehi.
Announcing the headliners, the Hon’ble Chief Minister said, “I am delighted to announce the comprehensive line-up for the Cherry Blossom Festival 2025. This year’s festival promises to be a grand celebration of music, art, and culture showcasing the rich diversity of our state. The line-up features an array of talented artists including The Script, Jason Derulo, and Nora Fatehi on Day 1. On Day 2, we have the iconic band Aqua and the Rap/pop sensation Tyga. Our festival will be closed by the world-renowned DJ and producer Diplo. I am also proud to announce that we have a special tribute to the legendary artist Zubeen Garg performed by musicians close to him.”
He added, “I take this opportunity to invite all citizens and visitors to join us for this vibrant celebration of art, culture, and music.”
The Hon’ble Chief Minister stated that the government expects the festival to attract over 50,000 visitors this year. He further added that the festival will also feature performances by talented local artists such as Meba Ofilia, Dappest, adL, rock band Girish and The Chronicles, and Arius.
Besides the performances, the festival will have a range of activities such as the traditional Mr and Ms Cherry Blossom competition, cosplay, Cherry Blossom arm wrestling. There will be festival zones across multiple grounds including the stadium, main stage, the second ground, Polo ground, MFA ground.
