1. India has called upon Pakistan to end the grave and ongoing human rights violations in the areas illegally occupied by it, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir.

2. The Government has debunked a message circulating with a video on social media channels claiming that the Taliban Government in Afghanistan has detained several Indians. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau, in a social media post, informed that the message related to this report is fake as the video used in the post is old and is from 2021.

1. Border closures between Pakistan and Afghanistan have pushed up prices of essential goods in both nations, with tomatoes now costing five times more in Pakistan since fighting broke out between the two South Asian neighbours this month.

2. Afghanistan’s Taliban-led administration announced plans to begin construction of dams over the Kunar River. This is a key waterway that flows into Pakistan’s northwestern region. The move by the Afghans is expected to restrict the water flow in Pakistan.
