1. ARRIVAL OF REPUBLIC DAY PARADE CHIEF GUEST : Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrives in Delhi on a three-day visit. He will attend the Republic Day Parade as the Chief Guest.
2. A military contingent from the Egyptian Army will also participate in the Republic Day parade.

1. The gas crisis in Pakistan is set to worsen in February as ENI, a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) trading company in Pakistan, has backed out of the LNG cargo which was scheduled to arrive on February 6-7, 2023.
2. Netherlands seeks to shut down Europe’s biggest gas field The Groningen, this year because of safety concerns. It is the largest natural gas field in Europe that began operations in 1963.
3. An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 struck Nepal yesterday afternoon, killing one person and damaging several houses. Tremors were felt as far as Uttarakhand, Delhi and its adjoining areas.
